Intermittent light, outer archipelago

Drifting at dusk
skerries and islets
seem to float
above the water

and towards the mainland
a single flashing light
from a beacon

sometimes correspondence
is like watching a lighthouse in the distance
wondering if the light is still there,
if the weather is changing
or if I drifted out of course

the intermittent light
still appearing
